I saw Breaking Dawn Part 1 yesterday because basically how can you not? I'm not a Twilight fanatic (lol trying to keep up my rep here) (actually I'm not a huge Twilight fan) but I saw the past three movies and figured I might as well give this one a shot. Okay I really didn't think it would be as bad as it was, but I got to eat popcorn and laugh during all the inappropriately serious parts. So here is my review in bullet point format. Manohla Dargis hit me up!!
- Seth/Boo Boo Stewart (lol is "Boo Boo" short for anything??) needs to leave. Throughout the movie he said dumb Wixson-type things like "LEAH GO AWAY I CAN TAKE CARE OF MYSELF"and "she didn't make it did she..."
- My favorite character is the Brazilian housekeeper.
- My favorite moment is when Bella is acting all coy in her lingerie trying to get Edward to change his mind about their activity of the evening (like she's tired of playing chess) and he gives her an obvious once over.
- Also when Edward breaks the bed. That was really funny.
- And the scene when Bella is discussing baby names and comes up with Renesmee and Rosalie is like "no" (the only moment in the entire saga where I empathize with her) and Jacob is in the corner like "smh."
- I hid my face during the scene where the wolves telepathically talk to each other in aggressive tones.
- I also hid my face during the birthing scene because 1. it was kind of disgusting and 2. I was scared I was going to have a seizure.
- Why was Edward wearing lipstain for the entire movie.
- The vampires' face color did not match their necks.
- When Edward bites Bella in the birthing scene he never wipes the blood off his face so he's just chilling with barbecue sauce-looking liquid on his mouth for the rest of the movie.
